Former stray dogs help kids with special needs in Romania

When stories appear in the media about stray (street dogs) they are generally about mass extermination campaigns launched by the local authorities to reduce the stray dog population.

The Japan Kennel Club is doing wide range of activities nationwide to promote the spirit of love for animals. We think it especially necessary to cultivate children’s sound sentiment in their early time in order to nurture compassionate children with warm heart.

When I first became involved in the dog world back in the 1960s my introduction to showing dogs came with an opportunity to show a friend’s Boston Terrier in what was then known as ‘child handling’.

This is a legendary creature. Its spirit guides the dead as they travel towards the hereafter. They were buried together with the most important men of the estates of Northern Peru.
